Sorry, they’re in the winners section a coupole of days already, but like all the winners before they deserve to be announced properly. Especially it was not easy to get picked amongst all these good designs that came in the past month. It was not easy to pick the definite winners with that number of great designs, and there were many tees that were close at the top by scoring points and overall awesomeness.

However, we congratulate those who made it:

Aliadotony, who scores his third big prize after What I Am Made Of and Everyone Can Be An Artist Kit (which is almost sold out unfortunately). It’s called Blame it on the TV, and there is a lot of things to discover on it. To appreciate what you only could have a slight idea of in the preview.

Second, more excellent line work comes from French designer Alain aka. digaster. His beautiful drawing of a boat called “La Mer” is characterized by excellent linework full of verve. We’re certain that these will be two excellent tees.

Congratulations to Tony and Alain, a big shoutout to the close follow-ups (CeKa, TheW, dxtr, MikeF and … digaster again). Keep submitting this excellent work, because the contest goes on and on and on.

Happy new year, Scribteesers!

We’d like to remind of some contest entries that were great, but for some reason didn’t quite make it on a tee. Like the reason that there can only be two winners a month (beside some special picks of ours).  As a way to start the year or look back at the past one, to give you inspiration and ideas for your submissions.

These rock: Anyone Can Play Guitar by cmatos and Tourbus Diary by DeeDeeKid.

These have the groove: Born in the 70s by Laurent and the “blurryMilk Bag by ndikol.

Crazy: Running With Scissors by RodrigoBHZ and Loca! by illustration genius Draco.

Strange Creatures: The Iceberg Creature by MokuMoku and Dxtr‘s Gatekeeper.

Wait … what? Trips and Traps by Peachbeach and Poche Kangourou by bibine.

Cool: Viking’s Best Kept Secret by Againstbound and Snowy Mountaintops by digaster.

And there are so many more … maybe I should continue this series soon. Thanks for your great ideas and designs. Keep them coming in!!

After an unusually long round  (due to illness and other adversities) you may clap your hands now for those Designs that convinced you and us the most in October and November:

Test Image

#1: whyme aka Benny Kohl who manages to score his third Scribtee with his Design Test Image. Caution, wet paint!

#2: Mark Owens aka Snewo (!ti desseug uoY) with his nice thinking robot design Robots Don’t Dream. This title also is a question answered

Congrats to both Designers! Sorry for all the other amazing designs in the contest. I’ll do a honorable mentions series for you again, some time soon….

The price goes to … Germany. Twice. Again. Hey, international Designers: how about catching up a bit?

Well, we should acknowledge that DXTRs first score here at Scribtee is a collaboration with French designer Reack. And the design itself is totally American: donuts, bullets, cops & coffee. So there should be enough international flavour for this to be a popular Scribtee: You’re under arrest, cause you’re the best. I just had to think of that awesome Mercury Rev video

Dxtr: You are a winner, cause you’re the best.

Drrrrriiiiiiiiiiinnng! Wake Up! You wimpy grub!

6265Peachbeach‘s Attila Szamosi turned the annoying ring of the alarm clock into a cutting-edge design! After Face Tattoo this is the second time he has a submission turned into a shirt.

Even though there’s nothing to like about annoying alarm clocks, there is much to like about this design. Congrats to Attila and to Dxtr who both are rewarded with 500 $ and a 50$ coupon.

And we also have a second prize this time: Ignacio from Spain sent us this funny interpretation of the tale of little red riding hood. With this shirt you might have something to explain to children… but this is worth the fun.

6202

Little red cap wins 300 $ and a 50 $ shopping coupon.

We are happy two announce the next winners.

Rachel Bilson T-Shirt

Rachel Bilson T-Shirt

Nature was my mother

Nature was my mother

First off, here is a work of Kevoe, a new artist at Scribtee.com. “Rachel Bilson” was his first submission to scribtee – and woosh! Here he is as a winner. Of course the beauty of actress Bilson helped here, but the way he conceived it as a shirt makes this a well deserved prize. Hope to see more from you in the future, Kev.

Second, here’s the second great prize in a row for Berlin design wunderkind Lars “The W” Wunderlich from Peachbeach designer collective. Whatever it is he depicted there – it is freaking freaky to the max. Yet he called it “Nature was my mother“. So, have some understanding for weird creatures with a bunch of tubes and tentacles as a face. Nature made them, just like me and you.

Another contest round with many great entries coming to an end (I think I should do another list of Honorable Mentions soon). There were sure some designs that would have fairly deserved to take away the jackpot of 500 € cash (and  50€ worth of clothes), but then only two per month can do so. In this case this was Benny Kohl aka whyme from Munich. He already won Scribtee when it wasn’t even called Scribtee with his design Just Loving Music. Well, this was quite some time ago, it is almost sold out and so why not print another design of him? He submitted a series of five great tees, of which Connected emerged as a favourite of yours and ours. It’s funny to think of Jesus and his disciples as nerds, with Jesus Christ laying down his new SEO strategy on a business supper.

mr-tool

Like Benny, this month’s other lucky winner Lars ‘The W’ Wunderlich is a well renounced tee shirt designer from Germany. He already had some hopeful submissions in the race, his Mr. Tool finally made it to the top spot. We are happy to finally offer this handy fella of designers a textile home. All of those who weren’t fast enough to grab the Artist Kit may like Mr Tool too. Check more of W’s awesome stuff at peachbeach.de, the design collective that he is part of.

OK, after the gold medals awarded yesterday we’d like to award a silver medal* to a shirt that we couldn’t leave unprinted. I love Zombies is a simple but nevertheless funny and awesome Design by well reputated Designer Mike Friedrich from our lovely hometown Berlin. As you can see from checking his site SixSixSix-Berlin he already did quite some magnificent apparel designs, so we are happy to have him joining the range of Scribtee Designers.

*The silver medal : The (OK, almost) monthly winners gain 500€ and a 50€ coupon. If there’s more than two designs in the race that absolutely need to be a mighty fine Scribtee, we have reserved the possibility to choose and print it after all and reward the Designers with 300€ and a 50€ coupon.

Here we go: We closed another round of contest, and two victorious Designs emerged, straight to the waiting row.

Number one: Air when you need us! from JayWalker Graphics, USA.

airgo

Definitely! The future is green! Though some very conservative forces in some countries still cling on to their gas hogs, deep down we all know it’s time to move on from petrol consuming and greenhouse gas emitting tin cans. So may it be solar or hydrogen powered electrical cars or just vehicles you move with your muscles – one day the days of filling stations are counted. And then? Then we could see a company called “Airgo” taking over the obsolete stations, providing air for cyclists and selling fresh drinks…. The future will be on your shirt. Soon.

Think

While it was easy to write this, I can’t think of much to say for “Think” from Jive. It’s just a peaceful scenery and the cigar smoker makes it very “cuban”. This will make a perfect shirt to wear at beach bars, Mojito parties and generally in summer. Yay, summer feelings …

So, congrats to Jive from Italy, congrats to JayWalker. They are both rewarded with the 500$ jackpot and wearable goodness of their choice.

Looking at the contest, march was a very good month in terms of design quality. For those months where more good designs emerge than we can print, we kept the option open to print more than two designs in a month and reward the designers with 300€ or $ (plus a coupon of course).

We did so this month. So congrats to Alvaro Arteaga from Chile. I instantly fell in love with his pirate design “Arrrr … my leg!” and I knew we just had to let this design come to life:

Arrr ... my leg!!

We believe that pirates are cooler than Ninjas, even if they occasionally have one of these weird days…

Second small prize goes to Mark “Snewo” Jenkins for his Spaceman. He describes his idea:

Spaceman

Came up with this design while thinking about how many people wanted to be something exciting when they grew up (like a spaceman) and ended up in a regular 9-5

Talk about it … a Rockstar manqué knows damn well what Mark is saying with that. What I like about this is that this office hero still wears his spae helmet and thus sorta has his head in the clouds. Don’t stop dreaming!

We have two new winners and they are called Jott and Artkore. Sounds familiar? Yep, they’re both guys who already won Scribtee once. However, this is because they submitted cool designs again.

Tape

Now with “Don’t Stop Playing” we finally have a tape inspired T-shirt. Jonas “Artkore” did this one and it looks a must-have to go clubbing.  You can never go wrong with audio tapes.

5655

And we loved this one by jott. One of his other designs “Me, my friends and I” was also very popular amongst you, but finally we went for “Wild Business“: it’s a little different from All In Me, it looks classy and if you want, you can take it as a comment to the financial misery. I recently read an interesting thought about this “Would the crisis have happened if brokers were mostly female?” Was it, in short, Testosterone drive that made the reckless striving for more and more gain that made the banks finally crash? The picture of a proud deer in a fine suit, showing his antlers, fits this thought pretty well. Whatever was on Tayo’s mind when he made this – he made it well.

Congrats to you both ! Don’t stop playing (with your graphic software) !
